Judge Doyle Square Building

February 12, 2019 by Claire Weiss

We have some exciting news to share! The Judge Doyle Square project (more info on that here and here) is almost complete and we have been chosen to run the bicycle center inside! We are happy to share the first draft of what is going to be available for the Madison biking community both downtown and here on South Park Street.

The Bicycle Center in the Judge Doyle Square Building will include:

  • Three single-occupancy showers/changing areas
  • 118 Lockers available to be rented per month or year
  • Bike wash station
  • Vending machine with basic biking supplies and accessories
  • a self-service bicycle station
  • Local biking info stand
  • A self service maintenance station

We will have 2 different levels of memberships and a day pass available for purchase.

  1. Commuter Day pass: $7 (available on a limited basis)
  2. Community Member: $40/year
  3. Commuter Member month: $50/month or $500/year

There will be needs based scholarships available for all membership options

What can a membership/pass get you?

Is downtown not a convenient place for you to go? In addition to our new digs downtown, we will be keeping our South Park Street location in its current capacity, with Open Shop, in-depth classes, and bike supplies for sale. We’re very excited to bring a biking center to downtown! See you there!

We will be on block 88 on 216 South Pinckney St, Madison, WI 53703

Below are some images of the proposed building plan and ideas of what the new Madison Freewheel Bicycle Co. shop will look like.
